Barrel break-in?
Is there a "break-in" period for Shiloh barrels, or with lead bullets will they shoot just add well from day one?

Flintlock,
I've shot very good groups with several Shilohs right from the get-go, without any break-in. But after you've shot 1000 rounds or so, it should be well and properly broken in. (Or actually, you should be well broken-in by that time.)

There's a lotta differing over this, but I'm answering just so you can check out his website for lots of other good articles as well. Here's one that includes both the (old?) Browning recommendations and the Lee Shaver methods
