Saddle Rifle chambering

Post by pacecars »

I was looking at the Saddle Rifle on line and under calibers I did not see the .40-90 BN listed. Is this chambering available in either the Saddle Rifle or the Hartford models?
Real gun powder is black.

My saddle rifle is a 40-90 with an 18 twist (according to Orville that was the original twist rate), and shoots a 370 gr. paper patch bullet (again, the listed original bullet weight). Very accurate, and a joy to carry in black timber or where the ground is approaching a 1 to 1 slope & the elevation is approaching 5 digits. :D
