.22 BPCR targets

I would like to make some .22 BPCR swinging targets to put at the actual range they would be at a match. Is there a template to make the actual size targets I could find somewhere? I was just going to use wood and staple a paper critter on it and hopefully it will move when hit.

Have you been to the 22BPCR web site?

www.22bpcra.com

Pretty sure you won't get much by asking in the Shiloh support forum.

Contact Schlagel Manufacturing in Torrington Wy. They will cut you a set of swingers, or a full set of targets for very reasonable prices.

The strategy is getting my wife addicted. So far just getting her 'interested' has resulted in being able to acquire beautiful old Stevens .22 from 1916 with an original Lyman scope plus a Miroku Winchester 1885 as a "back-up". The downside is she shoots better than me.

Women tend to be really good shooters if they are given an opportunity. And they really seem to like the 22 matches.

Don, Chris,
I got the .22 BPCR steel targets from Schlagel yesterday. They are really nice! Edges smoothed and very professional looking. My wife shot them today at the range. The targets are also lead magnets! She did very well using the cross sticks for the first time.
Thanks for the tip and I would recommend Schlagel's work to anyone.

We are planning for the mid July match at CRC in Byers then the August match at Smithmoor. I want her to shoot a match before we go up to Smithmoor.

Sounds like a good plan.

I too have a Stevens Favorite and a Winchester Mirouku both shoot very well. There not many clubs here with 200 yard ranges. I approached on that has everything needed to shoot .22 Silhouettes but they turned me down. Kind of sucks.

Chris,
I would think the range would love the extra chance to generate business and attract potential new people. Especially if some one else like you has done all the work to make it happen. I think there would be a lot of people who once they had an opportunity to try this sport would really like it. My daughter was out visiting and did well shooting the Win 1885 at the silhouettes. She was wanting to shoot trap but she can't hit anything - but she is good with a rifle and likes the critter targets. Now she is looking for a place to shoot .22 BPCR silhouette around Harrisonburg, VA.
The Stevens is a great little shooter and still has the original Lyman scope on it.
