My new Shiloh Sharps has arrived!

Post by D. Taylor Sapergia » Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:40 pm

As I said in another thread, I was expecting my new rifle, and it did indeed arrive. It's a #1 Sporter, 30" heavy bbl, 45-70 cal 7 degree lead, extra fancy wood, ebony forend cap, classic chequering, cheek piece with accent line, sling swivels, CC hardened receiver and furniture, classic steel chequered butt plate, AAA finish, MVA long range Soule rear sight with small Hadley disc, spirit level globe front sight. The wood to metal is the best I've ever seen on any rifle, antique or contemporary. Waiting time was two years and two months. I'm very pleased with it. Here's a few pics in case someone needs a nudge...

What a good looking rifle. Do not know if I could stand waiting two years. The longer I wait, the older I get.

Just learning how to post images here, and discovered you can only do so much editing before it shuts you down. So this is a little busy, but I got the pictures to this thread successfully.

Beautiful rifle ...
I am expecting my "first" Shiloh Sharps within the month. I went through Bill Goodman and placed my order the first week of October 2017. I, too, ordered extra fancy wood with AAA finish so I now get to see yours with the same.

Thank you for sharing ...

I don't know what to tell you Chris...they are loaded on my screen, and others too, apparently.
