I've loaded a LOT of Trail Boss loads for a HiWall 45-70 and it is so soft to shoot that my sister and nephews and great-nephews went through a couple of boxes. The load is a 340gr RNFP in front of 16gr a Trail Boss... gives about 1300fps out of the 30" bbl. Same load behind a 405gr yields 1170fps... also soft to shoot. Hope this helps.

TB works good in my 500 S&W. Nice to shoot, hard to say about accuracy due to the shootist....
