Rifle

Post by ChrisF »

I have a question not about Shiloh but about 20 years ago when Chester came out with a 22 caliber lower wall rifle. Are those rifles any good are they accurate if so what would be a good cartridge to try in them. Got a chance to buy one very nice shape just don’t know if it’s worth the money if I can get it to shoot for 22 silhouettes.

I have a 22LR Winchester Lowall of that vintage with the crescent buttplate. The short barrel and the resulting short sight radius does compromise accuracy somewhat. It shoot better with a scope than it does with irons in my hands. I have contemplated rebarreling it with a longer barrel. I did have the lousy trigger reworked by my gunsmith. That helped some.

Lapua Polar. Same as in my Winchester Model 52 and in my CMP Kimber.

Not exactly why one would ask on the Support forum, about information on a japchester?

Extremely poor taste

Chris

What Kenny meant was this topic is more appropriate for the “shooter to shooter” section of the forum vs the “support”. This is more for people needing support for a Shiloh brand rifle. Shooter to shooter is more for open discussion. Keeps the chaff down when someone needs technical support for their Shiloh.

Plus you know asking about Winchester here is like asking about Ford on a Chevy forum. You’re gonna catch some flak.

This forum is for Shiloh support Chris, use some common sense good grief...

As was mentioned shooter to shooter would of been much more appropriate.
