My LRE

Post by Steve Holt »

Ordered my LRE in 1991. 45-120 and pretty much a standard model. Rear sight delete, little bit better wood but otherwise it’s just as advertised in that year’s catalog.
Delivered in December 1994.
Are there records/notes/memories, of standard twist rates, chamber diagrams, lead, throated better for Greasers, PP or both.
Rifle has been shot maybe 50 rounds total, most all in the first few months I had it.
I ordered it and didn’t specify any custom adds other than what I listed above.
Finally retired so I got time to get serious about this rifle.
Also, in the catalog I got with the letter, it says that info is available for the early guns after serial #3000.
My first Shiloh was/is a Big Timber gun, no prefix, made not long before the transition. I’d like to see if any records are available for it.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

HI,
It's got a 1-18 twist. If you e-mail Lucinda@shilohrifle.com you can get the rest of the info.
