Could someone at Shiloh tell me what model of Rifle this is? 34" heavy barrel, Hartford collar, checkrest on stock, 45-70, checkered metal buttplate, Serial #B8340.
Thanks

Mongo, I am sure Kirk will reply but your rifle looks exactly like my 45-2.6 Long Range Express.

While we're on the subject (and new to the forum) having too many years behind me and wanting a Shiloh .45-70, I recently bid on and won the bid for a Shiloh, .45-70, 34" Bbl, pewter "nose", long range tang sights (don't have the gun in hand yet) with windage adjustable globe type front sight and "plastic" butt plate...with SR # B2481...
Can anyone please give me an proximate date of Mfg?
I sure would like to change out that "plastic" butt plate...that's how it was described on the auction site.
