Do you know where I can purchase a new firing pin for my Shiloh Sharpes 1874 45-70?

Call Shiloh.

I have sent messages to Shiloh Sharps and Montana Vintage arms but they are not open yet and have not responded. Looked on their sites and cannot find one on either side. I was hoping someone knew the answer offhand.

Montana Vintage Arms does not make one. Have heard nothing back from Shiloh Sharps.

Firing pins are a warranty item. I presume yours is broken. If you mail the broken one to Shiloh they will send you a replacement under warranty and if you buy one you're covered for the next time. While you're at it get a Lever Spring too, they break every 5000/10000 rounds or so it seems.

Hello again.

I better explain. I saw a movie about a guy named Quigley and became fascinated with the rifle he shot. Ended up finding a used one and purchased it. It is the used one that is having trouble with the firing pin. I liked it so much I had Shiloh sharps make a Montana Roughrider for me with upgraded wood blah blah blah and then got Montana vintage arms to make a scope for it. It is working just fine. In fact, I just got back from shooting it.

The lady at MVA mentioned something about a Quigley event and I certainly can understand if that is going on or is about to go on a delay in getting a new firing pin.
