45-70 vs. 450 Marlin
The 45-70 cases and .450 Marlin cases are identical except for the .450 having a belted case. My question is can the .450 Marlin die be used to load the 45-70?

Most of the die manufacturers have a tech service number that you can call. This would be the best place to get your answer.
That being said, it would appear that you would at least need a new full length re-sizing die or a neck sizing die. The neck sizing die could probably be used for both cartridges and save wear and tear on your brass.
