Oh I did! I received a compression die in the mail today, so that part should be resolved, going to see about building a drop tube so that I can arrange the powder in the case better. Thank you again for all of the support!

in the case of a bullet that means the centre of mass should be on the geometric axis.
anything less will make your brain hurt.

HDH,
By chance do you have a "45acp" H&I die for the lubersizer?
It should be a 0.450 or 0.451. If so, you could nose size the Gov't bullet
by pushing it into the die nose down until you hit the top drive band.

HDH,
Nothing against Steve Brooks,
but, check with NOE bullet molds. Swede has
the 459-535 available, copy of the Orig. Lyman 459132 "Postell"
Nose size is shown at 0.449, drive bands at 459.
Should work well for you
He has in stock just now: 3 cav mold for $117
4 cav mold for 135
Much cheaper than Brooks single cav molds.
Granted, Brooks molds are Iron and the NOE molds listed just now are Aluminum.
Swede also makes Brass molds for just a bit more money.
And Swede will stand by his products if they don't meet specs.
I have had "perfect" experience casting with several of his molds that I have bought.
And they were indeed exactly to spec.

Re: 45 2.1 Loading
Annie, I shoot a boatload of 45 CAP, but I size to .452, same as my 45 Colt. I have accumulated a pile of NOE molds over the years, they are top notch, same with Accurate Molds. I am going to slow my roll a bit, get my ducks in a row so to speak. Getting ingredients together to male some lube, going to anneal some more cases, get some other primers to try, and research powders, I have 6 lbs of GOEX, and hopefully it gives me good results. Need to build a drop tube as well.

Don, I have been looking at the Buffalo Arms molds, going to work with Rdnk to see get on the right track and flying right before I try any experimenting.

HDH-Give Old 'E' a try.
I use the 'E' 2F, in .45-70 and .45-90-very pleased with it.

Dan of Bull Shop fame is the mentor who got me into the bullet casting game, also spawned a love for heavy bullets at lower velocities than I was used to for hunting.
