INdeed, that ( over) sizing by the 310 tool die, is
apparently just right for the Bore Diameter PP bullets.

I have three 310 tools and dies for .357 magnum, 38-55,
40-70SS and 45-70, and I do not see any difference between loads using this tool and my bench press.
I am very fussy about my loading and would not use sloppy ammunition. If I am correct, bench mounted presses as we use now weren't available back in the 1880's! If I could find or have made loading tools as we're used way back then I would use them. The 310 tool is as close as I can get. So do we shoot these rifles in the spirit of the originals I ask myself.

Thanks gents for all your helpful suggestions. Will probably forego neck resizing, and simply finger seat the gg bullet into a fired case (after powder compression/wad), and then apply a gentle crimp.
