Hadley sight disc

For those of you thinking about a Hadley adjustable tang sight disc.
Here is the first day with it at the range.

40 70 SS
74 Shiloh of course
100 yards
I tightened the sight picture with a small peep hole in the disc.

75 1 1/2 OE compressed 1/8
030 card wad
reg rifle primer,( not magnum)
417 BA PP bullet cast 1 in 20 and weighed. This batch was 417 grains.
PP with BA 25% cotton 9 pound,
A very tight left hand hold on the for end and a tight pull on the butt into the shoulder.
this mitigates the heavy hammer blow.
one wet and one dry between shots.

Most groups were 2 inches or less if I do my part.
then I pulled tighter on the butt.
this group measures just under an inch.

more to come next time...

yup belfed. you got me there.
I looked at the bullet and the casting was not perfect.
so I Chickened out!

A buddy of mine reminded me to weigh the bullets....did that years ago, and just bought a F. Arsenal digital scale for about $30. works perfectly.
I shoot them in batches of like weighed bullets...
That BA mold is great. all of the 420 nominal bullets run between 416.0 and 417.5. very close.
