Dan T's 38-55 design
Does anyone have Dan T's bullet design and chamber design for a 12 twist 38-55?

Whatever happened to the Pedersoli 38-55 Hiwalls that Dan Theodore collaborated with regarding chamber and fast twist. Anyone here compete with one or no someone who did?

Sure it could. You want something in the 200gr range likely. Buffalo Arms makes a 200gr money bullet mold with reduced driving bands so you don't eat up all of the case capacity with those tiny cases.

The 365 grain BACO Elliptical Mini grease groove bullet was the Dan T. design for the .38 1:12 twist.

We mostly use .32 cast bullets in the Schuetzen Game.
For the .32-40 with a 1:14 twist use 200 to 210 grain bullets.
I shot a 1245 out of 1250 with my .32 using a 235 grain bullet in my 1:11.5 twist barrel.
10 shot group of .799 at 200 yards.
Of course shooting lighter bullets you are not able to shoot long distances.

When using the micro groove GG bullets it is recommended to wipe between shots.
The narrower and shallower grooves have less drag when shooting long distances.
However if not shooting out to 1,000 yards; and if you are more interested in only Silhouette shooting you should go with the deeper groove bullets to hold more lube.
