Hi Randy,

I did serve on the Eversole and made two trips to Nam on it from 1970 thru 1972.
Went half way around the world on it and hit a lot of fun places. It was an exciting
time but you don't appreciate it until you are older.

Didn't have a Sharps in my large collection of guns so finally bought one. Had muzzle
loaders but no black powder cartridge rifles. Hard to believe they can throw a 500gr
bullet out to 1000 yards. I won't have that problem because my eyes aren't good enough
to shoot past about 300 yards.

I may have to hang a scope on it and shoot in the old man scope division.

By all means, use a scope if you need to. That's what I do. Seems I remember something about "old men do it with a scope" but not sure, like they say the mind is the second thing to go, don't remember what the first thing was.
Didn't get to see any "fun" places in the Army (Nam 68-9)

back in the dark ages, when i was lubing bullets instead of wrapping slicks, i dip lubed instead of pan lubed. dip lubing is/was faster and easier, at least for me.

Why can't you just microwave the lube?

Burn the lube with hot-spots.
Best to do the double boiler deal. Better control of the temp.
Me-I couldn't live without a microwave oven :P
