Never seen a need for it.

Perhaps some Rooster Red jacket, for hunting loads,

The procedure I use is very simple. Prior to shooting I take two patches, one I put a small spot one patch. Wipe a bullet and then immediately use the dry patch and wipe it off. Insert the bullet into the case. You should seen in a good light a slight sheen on the patch. That's it no rocket science. Both rifles produced amazing accuracy.

My Wyoming friend I am not saying that it will work in all rifles, or doubt your method. Your testament and your trophies are well honored. But don't doubt me on my methods. They have been tested in practice and competition. Must admit my time in this game does not come close to yours, nor do I have the reference material that you have at your disposal. But I work just as hard as any other person in this sport.

Cheers,

MAH

MAH,

I have no doubt it works but seems tough to do under windy match conditions. Extremely difficult to do that for every bullet, under time constraints.

Special K,

I lube the patch prior to the match. Even as early as the night before. But it has to be done sparingly! That is the key.
Hey seen your pics on face book, stay warm!! Could become a snow bird?
