I purchased this book written by Wayne Mclerran ( Texas mac) to learn how to work on my 1885 browning..boy did I get my money's worth.
The book is VERY well written, has lots of pictures ( I need them) and goes into GREAT detail on assembly and disassembly. What I didn't realize was the book is a wealth of information on cleaning, loading and even how to CORRECTLY make and use a blow tube! Yep...the tiniest things can make a BIG difference.
I have only been shooting BPCR for a couple of years and I am thankful such a good book has been written for novices like me.

I second Glens review. My Browning is a much better gun because of that book. It is on my nightstand and I frequently refer to it. Thanks "Mac"

Some years ago I was thinking of buying a Browning '85 and a guy told me, "Before you make your purchase, get hold of a guy named Texas Mac." I guess that says it all.

The loading and cleaning tips are well worth the price of the book...which has GREAT binding. I took two years to make AAA and when I followed the tip on bullets in the 40-65, Jeanne shot her first match with it and became an instant AAA shooter. Now she has ordered a new 1885 in 40-65 and I have a good shooting partner. Learn from anther's hard work and research. The book is great.

Glen, then there is no better time to start. Besides, it is MUCH easier.
