Anyone interested in purchasing a set of Lyman 45-110 dies may want to jump on them if you can find them. I had a little issue and called Lyman this morning to get it taken care of and the lady informed me that they will no longer be making those dies for the 45-2 7/8.

RCBS sells them, and much better quality than Lyman.

The Lyman ones actually work better RCBS for full length sizing the brass for fireforming in a tight original style chamber. BTDT bobw

I found the opposite be the case, as Lyman dies are not anywhere near the quality of steel, level of hardness or finish of RCBS.
YMMV

I have both, and greatly prefer the Lyman. Shoot straight, rdnck.

The issues I had with Lyman was a couple of years ago.
To say their CS was lacking, would be an understatement.
Wonder if Lyman was having QC issues back then.

Lyman has always had quality control issues. They are very capable of making a fine product and usually do, but frequently there are lapses and a inferior product goes out the door. I can attest to many "bad" bullet molds cut in the 70-80's with wore out tooling or poor fixtureing practices.

My issue was with the sizing die. She did find one and she said it will be sent out immediately. Hopefully. My issue was the marring and scratches it left on the cases. I polished it and made it better, but I thought why should I have to do that? That is the only issue I've ever had with any of their products.
