Side matches at OKC regional in September

Post by Glen Ring »

Our first regional at Oklahoma City and our true first BPCR season as competitors, was an eye opener for sure.

We were impressed with the accuracy of the 22 and BPCR guns.

We want challenging, but fun, side matches in September. The Pig/Chicken hostage target at 300 meters wasn't much of a challenge for most. How about Prairie dog targets at 500 meters?

The quarter size air rifle pig at 200 meters didn't seem to bother the 22 shooters.

Ideas from YOU now will give me time to make targets.

Balloons at 500 meters with a 22? That was a suggestion...I think we can make that happen.

At Yaupon Creek we have 2 buffalo silhouettes with a hole about midship, a back hung "gong" positioned behind the hole with a bullseye ring so 3 classifications of hits are possible

The buffalo silhouette is about 24 x 12 inches

A hit anywhere on the buffalo silhouette. 1 point

A gong hit outside the "gong ring" 2 points

A bullseye hit on the gong inside the ring. 3 points

Buf is around 350 yards gong hole is about 4 inches in diameter

We shoot it prone with sighters prior to scoring

Its a fun 10 round match
