I don't think so, but if you would maybe build such a rifle and shoot a few, we could quantify this and do some statistics and....

Statistically speaking what would you say would be the quantity of shots one could expect to get with a rifle built to fire this dually cartridge?

Let's start with more than one, shall we? I'll work out the sample size estimates after you have 2.Distant Thunder wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 8:00 pm Statistically speaking what would you say would be the quantity of shots one could expect to get with a rifle built to fire this dually cartridge?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere , that that cartridge and rifle was tried by the early hunters when buffalo were abundant and they kept finding themselves surrounded by buffalo or indians. Had a slightly offset stock and sight.
Rumor has it it fell out of favor on the windy plains when a few hunters found themselves shooting in strong right crosswinds instead of just turning around and shooting the other way.

Here is my 2020 bullet I'm testing, that's all I'm going to say about it right now. O.K. I'll tell you this much you can change the twist factor of the barrel without changing the barrel to a faster twist.

O.K. I'll tell a little more, you will notice it has no paper or grooves, it has a special coating applied, the coating was invented to make ketchup slide out of a bottle.

Re: The Next BIG THING
The hard part was designing the bullet mold so the fletching could slide to the rear of the bullet when it cleared the end of the barrel.
