Norma 45 basic

Post by krsluder »

I searched on this forum and did not see anything. Most BP supply houses are out of 45 basic. Buffalo Arms said they have been waiting for about a year. Just wanting to know what is going on. Is Norma still producing 45 basic brass?

Midway has 45 basic 2.6 in stock. I hope that is what you're looking for

Thanks for the help everyone! I find it odd that Shiloh, BACO, Graf, and others were out of stock. BACO said they have been waiting a year?
I sent an email to Norma. Let's see what they say.

In preparation for receiving my Sharps Quigley later this year, last fall I found Norma .45-120 (3 1/4) at www.huntingtons.com at $29.99/20. Norma .45-110 was $49.99/20, so purchased 100 cases of the .45-120, figuring I can cut them down.

Sadly since then I have not found any .45-110 or .45-120 for any kind of sane price, when I can find any at all. Hopefully I can find some more before I get the call that the Q is going into production.

Someone remind me to ask Kirk to add the buckhorn sight to the Q also.

Maybe this will suit:

There is also 45-110 Jamison brass, 100 pcs., for auction now on Gunbroker.

45-110 has been scarce for a reasonable price. I usually end up buying the 45-120 and cut them down to size.

The Dixie Gun Works listing, CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE kind of makes that a nonstarter. Beyond that $5.95 per case won't fly.

I already saw the Jamison on GB. Watching it and trying to decide if $2.50/case will work.

Thanks

That's what I'll do with the 100 I bought last fall, after I take delivery of the Quigley and do a chamber cast. But can't even find 45-120 now.
