No doubt that plays into it but there was just some weird stuff going on. I know when a shot should be a hit or a miss and while I did make some mechanical errors there were some misses(mostly high) that just left me scratching my head. It almost seems like I am having the same issues with the OE 1.5 that I was when I was shooting the OE 2F a few years ago. As soon as I switched to the Swiss the master scores started happening almost immediately . So we will see.

I suspect it will be found. Hang in there. Of course this doesn't help with the Alma match.

Me too. I still shoot a fair bit of OE 1.5, but when I switched to Swiss 1.5 for match shooting my scores went up significantly at every event I went to.

I have some 1.5 a friend is letting me use. I have never tested this lot but I am going to throw caution to the wind. Fed large pistol match primer and 83 grains of this 1.5 under a .060 polly wad. Should work out to almost .200 compression depending on the density. 10/10/2016 is the lot. He said it liked compression.

I shoot a 35-40 Maynard with a 340 grain bullet (2.140 inch case length, 1.50 inch long bullet). Fifteen years ago, I was loading 48 grains of 1 1/2 F Swiss and never lost a ram. With the new 2019 Swiss, I now need to load 54 grains of 3 F to ensure I do not ring the ram, especially at Carpenter. I shoot 2F Swiss as well -- same charge (54.0 grains). It shoots the same as 3F, but less hard fouling in the summer heat. The compression for both is 0.10 inches. 54 grains of 1 1/2 Swiss overflows the case.

A case of it was dropped off at the house today. I should be able to start testing it the weekend after this One. I will start with the ole ladder test in the Shiloh or the cpa. Depends on which one has the most projectiles already parched.

Ian, if that plan does not pan out for you there is something else you might try?
Rem 9 1/2 primers and somewhere between .250-.350 compression with the OE.

FedEx is not what they once were. We stopped using FedEx for our business in 2019 after they lost over $60,000 of client materials for a trade show. Yes, everything finally showed up again, 4 days after the show ended. FedEx did nothing to amend, refund, compensate for the missed show.

We are suffering similar issues with FedEx and Amazon now. Have thousands of dollars in orders for clients out, both FedEx and Amazon have missed every delivery date over the past 3 weeks. Not our choice but the vendors are using these fools.

A few weeks ago I ordered primers from Graf and Fedex missed the Friday delivery date but delivered on Sunday.
