Forget about saving a few dollars, if you are going to wait years and spend that much get what you want.

Yup don’t worry about the money spent when you’re going on a high end piece of beauty like a 77 follow what your heart says
I didn’t even consider the cost difference between single and double set. I wanted this one as a very close copy of the original 77’s

I have a 74 Shiloh Hartford with the single trigger plus I had the Silhouette with a single trigger but had it changed inlaying a double set in the single trigger bar to a double set a couple years later but this was a mistake for me to have it done. If I knew Kirk could put another single trigger bar back in without having to work on the wood I would get it done.
I personally like to feel the tension on the trigger. I had way to many go down range before I was ready.
A two or three pound pull is not for every shooter but I have no problem using them. Plus the single trigger moves the pistol grip a little closer to the trigger. That is a plus for having short fingers reaching the trigger and still making good contact with the grip.
