Zack,
I have been able to obtain one brick of BR2's. So the initial pressure is off. I can keep the 40-65 shooting for a while. All of my other BPCR rifles can and like Remington 2 1/2 LP, and I have several years of them on the self. I have not seen any other primers for sale for a while. I had been using the BR2's in some of my other non-BPCR rifles, but I guess they can wait for a while.

Re: Preferred BPCR Primers
With all this talk on primer shortages on all forums I went down and opened the old fridge in the basement to see what I have left if the matches open again next summer. I have enough.
I have bricks of green box CCI marked $8.05 and yellow box as well as white box, WIN white box, Win blue box, Rem, Fed GM match, Fed 150, Wolf, Alcan and Lellier & Bellot. 22 bricks and one sleeve unopened of Fed GM I ordered before the crunch started.
I learned from the last shortage to stock up and I wait for the Black Friday sales that run this time of year and put them in dry storage.
I have passed on three bricks to my friends so far that ran out to keep them active.

I agree with Kurt, people should have seen this coming the 1st of the year. I don't run to stores and clean them out, but I will take advantage of opportunities over a course of time. Mentioned this to a shooting partner in August and he went to the local sporting goods store and he bought the last brick on the shelf. Was at Cabelas in Billings in June and the shelves were almost bare. Did manage a couple pounds of some smokeless for a young fella that shoots a different venue.

I like the federal large pistol and large rifle match primers. Thank goodness I bought a bunch back when they were available.

I've been using the #34 7.62 military primers in my rifles.
