Thanks , RK.

I'm going to guess most on here saw the writing on the wall, and having went down this road before, have a nice supply safely tucked away.

RK, as far as I can tell, BP is still available at the usual locations but good luck on finding primers, smokeless powder, and bullets for centerfire rifles. You may have luck at your local gun store. Like Charlie, last year with the political realities on the horizon I stocked up.

Yea, last time I looked at GunBroker for primers they were starting at $100+/1000. Long rifle 22 were at about the same level. Don't really need anything yet so haven't looked locally. Too busy building a small caliber flintlock to fill in when i run out of 22s.

I get my powder from Bear River Powder or Powder Inc.
Cast all my own bullets.
Primers I have on hand, am hoping the supply gets caught up with demand sometime this year.

Don, I can't remember where I saw it, but read where someone was interviewing the head guy at CCI/Speer and he said don't look for anything to change in 2021.The demand for components is unprecedented. There was record number of firearm purchases in 2020 and they've got to get ammo for those guns.

Local Farm & Home store is the backbone of this area. They always had all of everything you needed. I was there today and there isn't a loaded round of ammo for any firearm . The only long guns are shotguns and NO ammo.

Several years back, our town hired a "City Manager."
He walked about town, getting to know the city folks.
After a few months in office he quit.
When asked what he thought of our town he responded;
"This is the only town I've ever been to that had a bible on every kitchen-table, with a loaded 1911 on top of it."

Keith I'm in good shape for this year, probably a couple of years after that, but I'm hoping that at some point in the next year or so things will ease up a bit, but we shall see I suppose.
What I'm really hoping for is the supply of the 22 ammo we shoot to get back up.
In the mean time carbon arrows for the crossbow are still easy enough to find. :lol:

Is anyone actually paying those prices? I just found a couple of bricks of Fed LP Match for about $70 apiece.
