Thanks DD….one of the things that has always been a curse in my life is that I’m one of these A-holes who always has to know “why”…

This proved a great setback in my years as a young Marine. Later, it was also very inconvenient when I was an apprentice in the drywall trade.

Nowadays, needing to know why is coming around to being an advantage in a couple of ways. Most of the time, when I post a question or comment on this forum, it’s because I’m looking for the “why”….

Focusing on why can interfere with discovering how.

You first have to determine what you want to do with the rifle.

Yes you can, lots of people do, shoot successfully out to 1,000 yards and beyond with an 18" twist once the figure out HOW to do it.

BUT, (yes the But Monkey), each rifle is different and it is up to the shooter to discover HOW to get the results desired.

If WHY confounded Dan Theodore I have an idea it is best ignored.
