Well we cut loose Monday AM bright and early for the trip up to Chicken and the put in for another moose hunt on the 40 mile.
I am really looking forward to getting on the river again and spending some time with friends and family in pursuit of some good meat.
Might even take along some shot loads for my 44 and see if I can pot a rough tail or two for dinner one night.
Caribou season was closed early so it will be moose and perhaps a bear or two if they turn up close to the rafts. We sure could use a couple of bulls though and that will pretty well load us down weight wise in our two 14 footers.
The area burned off three years ago when we went and should be a prime habitat for them now so perhaps we'll be blessed with a couple this time around. It'll be a great float at any rate.
We'll of course take our fishing poles as well and get a few rainbows and graying for supper. MD
