That's good shooting. :D Looks like rock chucks from what I can tell. What were you shooting, and roughly how far are you shooting?

An old video. Not sure I call that hunting. Just shooting. Not my cuppa tea anyway.

Sage brush and aspen don't equal Afghanistan.

Two bits says it's rockchucks somewhere in the Great Basin.

Lazer,
I suggest you read this article by Aaron Childers and David Banks: July 2009 issue of Infantry magazine. In the 5th paragraph you will find a reference to aspen trees and fruit orchards in Eastern Afghanistan.

Article: Aaron W. Childers "Smarter patrolling: dismounted movement in Eastern Afghanistan

Colorado doesn't have the corner on Aspens. Save your two bits and buy a combat vet a beer. :)

There is no sniper weapon in existence that has the power to lift a human being (carcass) up off the ground like that...nor could it deliver said energy in such a way that it would lift up off the ground.

...Unless it was say a 25mm HE round from a Bradley for instance...

Just my $.02. Ive never been in combat.

snoops (or what ever that site is) this. It was running around on the web a couple years ago. I believe you will find it is not a sniper video and it is some sort of ground rodent.

Quigley,
You got the right argument. It would come out of a barrel like this:

Gary, I did get this 2 yrs ago. And yes it would take a very large Speer TNTHP (which they don't make) or a HE round to put that much energy into a 200 lb target. But it was fun anyway.

See what I get into when I get bored!

And look something like this.
