Nice Deer and Rifle Ted, way to go!

Ted, what did you use to brown the barrel? I like the way it turned out.
I'm in the process building two rifles with the parts I have that I been pushing around in the drawer for several years :D

Thanks guys.

John,

I've gone round and round with the MN DNR about their regs on what guns can be used where but they finally told me to quit bugging them. The deer in the photo was taken during the general season and we have the ml season coming up after Thanks Giving. At least the DNR still only allows iron sights during the ml season unless you have a visual disability and need a scope.

Kurt,

I used Wahkon Bay Tru-Brown on the barrel. My friend who originated Wahkon Bay Outfitters gave me a generous supply of Tru-Brown before he quit making it. I think the new maker of the stuff sells it through Muzzleloader Builder's Supply

Here are the only other pics of the rifle I took before my camera took a dump.

Looks very good Ted, thank you.

I will get some for my next Ohio project.
