Sounds like the bullet shoots great, no meat made on this hunt! No worries, it will happen.

Drew laid this hog out at a 105 yards with his 45-70 and the bullet I built. Thanks Drew and Bill for giving it a test run.

I had loaded 25 of those bullets to carry to Drew's ranch last weekend, and we shot them to see if they would shoot for group. The answer is they definitely group well. At 100 yards I could keep them under a shot glass out of my 45-70 Rough Rider, and at 324 yards put 3 in 4 inch group on a fresh painted buffalo silhouette using barrel sights. Unfortunately, neither Drew nor I got a shooting opportunity at a hog last weekend. I had 14 rounds left loaded with Stephen's bullet and left them with Drew as I knew he would get a crack at a hog before too long. The hog was hit on the shoulder at a slight angle and the bullet was a complete pass through. He went straight down, DRT.

The load is 71 grains of KIK 2f compressed to .460, a card wad, a 3/16 grease cookie, and a card wad, then the bullet which is taper crimped to stay in the Starline case. This load is accurate, powerful, and very clean burning. Neither of us used a blow tube or a wiping stick until we cleaned at the end of the day.
