Ugh - I hate the dog days of summer

Post by Tebbeman »

I have the rifles sighted in, ammo loaded, have been practicing and it is still only mid-July! I sometimes hate the dog days of summer....come on hunting season!!

Don't you have any gophers or ground squirrles down there in Texas? Great way to keep in practice for hunting season. Just because you have a buffalo rifle doesn't mean it can't take a gopher or two..

Ditto what George says. Furthermore, buffalo rifle shells might well be more readily available and economical than .22 shells these days, especially if you load your own!

I'm with Tebbeman......I'm ready to kill something and eat it! Match shooting and practice for match shooting rate 2nd and 3rd. Casting bullets and cleaning brass somehow don't make the chart.
