That's a heck of a big bodied deer with a pretty nice rack too, but what body on that boy. Any idea what he weighed?

Whereabouts?

:D I was sitting in our blind then,we saw him. He stood up and I shot him in the shoulder at 200 yards. He went down and then got up. Me, my brother(Tristan) and my dad crawled up to him and my dad had the minutes for 100 but my deer was at 70 yards. So, I tried to shot him in the neck but, the bullet ended up in his nose. Then he got up and I shot him in the neck and he died. It was so fun and cold. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for sharing the story Mary, sounds like you had some excitement. Just think, of all the whitetails killed every year and there are a lot of them how many are taken with a Sharps and blackpowder loads? Not many and you got one. :)

Mary,
Good Hunt. Here I thought deer only got that large fed on corn here in Illinois.

Bill, Penny,Tristan ,and Mary are all hardcore shooters. Shot in the group I was in at the " Q" this year they pull hard for each other, they are a team and a family. One could never ask for better shooting companions. Great job Mary and Tristan. bobw
