Booked a hunt...

Post by Jim VanMiddlesworth »

I booked a buffalo hunt tonight with the Comstock Lodge in Nebraska. My buddy R.J. Cudworth and his wife are meeting me there in December. Gonna take my C. Sharps in 50-70.

I shot my buffalo there in Nov 2015 with a Shiloh Sharps 50-90. You will not find nicer people to help you out. The lodge is "wife quality" - I brought my wife and she loved it. Did a little pheasant hunting while we waited for the carcass to cool down before we butchered it. They helped at every step and he has a nice place to cut it up. You will not be sorry. All grass fed and grass finished on 4000 acres. The meat was so tender it would make you weep.

I know this is back there some Jim, but I sure would be interested to hear about your hunt there at Comstock. I read SFs hunt too. That and other various things here on the Shiloh Forum had be up to Big Timber and got an 1874 coming. So I am looking at buffalo hunt places and options too.

Thank you.

We get there December 10th. I'll be sure to post some photos with my report.
