BIG HILL LONG RANGE

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

BIG HILL LONG RANGE

Post by Shadow 4 » Wed May 30, 2012 12:40 am

MAY 20TH
Well folks that was interesting to say the least!!
It was a beautiful day for shooting on the Big Hill except for the mirage and the wind through the canyons!!!
40 RD MATCH

DAVE GAMBLE MW 1ST -----3 6 5 7 ------21--------------$24
KENNY BOSCHEE SC 1ST ----2 6 7 5 ------20--------------$10
MARK MECCAGE 2ND -------2 6 3 3------14---------------$16
DAN CURREY SC 2ND--------3 6 1 3 -----13
BRIAN HICKEY 3RD ---------2 5 3 2 ------12
JOHN OLSEN 4TH -----------2 3 1 3-------9
DOUG PORTRA -------------2 4 2 0--------8
JEFF MORRISON ------------2 3 3 O-------8
MIKE METTLER --------------1 1 3 2 ------7
DALE SCHWEIGERT--------- 2 0 1 1 -----4

As you can see our illustrious match winner Mr. Gamble has just one more miss on the course and he shoots a 20/40, and as you know from past experience Mr. Gamble is not a 50% shooter!!!

TARGETS ARE AS FOLLOWS
700 24" square was (NOW A 36" SQUARE) there was going to be trouble seeing the 24"
800 4' circle
900 4' octagon
1023 4' square

The 700 yd target was hit 21% of the time   , 800yd 40%, 900yd 29% and the 1023yd just 26%.

In the future the 700yd target will go from a 24" square to a 36", the 24" square will move to the 600yd line, all other targets will stay the same. Gooooooood luck to ya.
Don't know when the next one will be, I'll keep you posted.

Thank you Dale and Brenda

See ya next time!!!

It was a beautiful day on the hill to have a gun in your hand :!: :!:
50 round match :D :D

Dave Gamble------6--------------10--------------4----------3--------------5-------28------- all tie breakers are on the 1023 $27.50
Brian Hickey-------9---------------7---------------7----------2-------------3-------28-----------------------------------$16.50

Loren Hedrick-------2-------------6---------------4-----------0------------4----------16
Tom Heaps---------5--------------4---------------3-----------1------------3----------16
Dallas Scott--------3--------------4---------------3-----------1-------------3---------14

--------------50/110 46%----69/110 63%---31/110 29%---26/110 24% ------36/110 33%
.
212 hits out of a possible 550.-------39% over the course.
Targets are as follows 600 24" square 700 36" square 800 4' circle 900 4' octagon 1023 4' square.
Before the first shoot received many comments about what a challenge that 900 was going to be due to its location, . It seems to be holding true to every bodies hunch. Its running at 25% after the first two matches.  Not sure what Dale had figured out on it but he was all alone, & with a 38-55 no less! Everybody's group looked like a shotgun pattern, everywhere but on the target :!:

Thanks go to Dale & Brenda Schweigert for allowing such a great place to shoot!!!
Thanks to the score keepers, spotters & Dale & Mark for bring 4 wheelers and helping to paint.
Special thanks goes to Walt & Dallas Scott for helping me. I haven't hurt my back, like that in a long, long time. Yowzers!!!
