May 4th 2013 GGC BPCR Silhouette Match
We finally got the spring day we were hoping for! Maybe a little cool but very nice and the light gusty winds keep us guessing which way to turn the sight knobs. Twenty six competitors turned up for the match. Mike Kelly, a new BPCR Rifleman came with his new rifle. Welcome Mike!
We held the chicken pool again this month and Cody Smith won shooting 6 (of 10) chickens.
The switchy winds kept the row pin count down. Jack Odor shot a 10-in-a-row Turkey and Cody Smith, Zack Farmer, and Richard Bement shot 10 pigs.
Match scores are from a possible of 40
Scope class makes up about 1/3 of the competitors.
In Scope class Dale Bement was the winner shooting a 28. We started something new with scope. We also award the “High Half” giving both the top 50% and the second 50% of scope competitors some recognition. Joe Kapler is May’s High Half shooting a 20.
In the Iron sight class, Cody Smith was the match winner shooting 30 and Jack Odor was 1st AAA shooting 29, Seldom Seen Pierce Pritchett took 1st AA with a 23 and 1st A Class went to Zack Farmer shooting a 21 with 3 chickens.
