2013 8th Annual Northwest Regional Championship Match

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

2013 8th Annual Northwest Regional Championship Match

Post by Constable Bill Manning »

I have just posted the scores to the 2013 8th Annual Northwest Regional Championship that were shot at the Deep Creek Range by Missoula, Montana. The dates were June 14th - 16th. The shooting schedule was setup so that Friday was a scope only day, Saturday was an Iron Sight only day, then on Sunday you decided which sight you wanted to use and that was used then for you overall match score. This format met with mixed reviews and will be reassessed for next year's match. The weather was spring-like Montana weather with light winds that were relatively constant for all three days. Scores ran on the high end with a number of shooters moving up to the next class during the match as a result.

We would like to thank Mike Venturino for his years of effort in putting on this regional match. His efforts have resulted in a safe, quality match with a warm, friendly, down-home family flavor that has been enjoyed by so many over the last 8 years for the regional match. Mike now gets to attend but just to shoot, brag, lie, and all those other things he is so good at.

Next year I will be doing the Match Director duties, hopefully keeping with the standards that Mike has set and adding a little flavor of my own to the stew. One difference that you will notice immediately is that I plan to accomplish most of the sign-up/entry process via the internet. Be watching your email for notification of match and early registration for those that attended this years match. If you struggle with using computers and don't have email, I will be sending out a mailer as well so I hope to cover both methods of registration. (If you don't have email, you probably won't be reading this on this forum, either!! :o)

We would also like to thank all the companies that donated prizes for our match. Shiloh Rifle graciously offered a rifle again this year and I have tell you that I was the EXTREMELY lucky recipient of the rifle this year. I have rarely if ever won anything such as this and I am so thankful to the participation of the Shiloh Rifle folks and Kirk Bryan for making this possible. I already have my name on the list for a new 1877 when they come on line!!!

I am creating a webpage focused on the Regional Match and I will be including a list of all those companies that donated prizes at that location when I get a complete list from Mike. These are people that supply our shooting sport and we appreciate their efforts as well as they appreciate us being customers.

The scores, my email, and future information on this match can be found on the http://www.mtbpcr.com website at:

The main worksheet includes all scores shot over the three days, not just the specific Sight-used results.
