Congratulations to Rick Moritz who made his .38 - 50 sing in the rain. Excellent spotting work, Huey, in that weather and conditions. I was watching Rick clean two turkey banks on Friday and thought he might be giving everybody a run for the big prize.

friday conditions were pretty good till the final animal for all competitiors. the clouds opened up and the lights went out, a real challenge for iron sight shooters to
even be able to locate their target much less hit it. those who scored in those conditions really had to work at it.
that rain left more than a half inch precip. saturday morning came with low light, dark banks and low wind leaving the smoke hanging quite some time.
visibility was only marginally better than in the rain. mid day as the sun brightened things up a rapidly shifting tail wind gave a challenge to all.
those who scored well really had to work and deserve congratulations.
