Kentucky State Championship results

The Kentucky State Championship BPCR silhouette match was held Sept. 27 & 28 at the Northeast Kentucky Fish & Game range near Cannonsburg KY. There were 38 competitors from MI, IN, OH, WV, VA, KY, TN, NC & FL. This is becoming one of the premier shoots in the East and new this year was a Sat evening fish fry for the competitors.

Mark Finney was the overall winner with a score of 56. He shot scope class.
2nd scope was Kim Kelley with a 49
3rd scope was George Louli with a 44

AA scope winner: John Bell --41
A scope winner: S. Reed -- 41

Iron class winners: 1st overall: Marshall Chase --53
2nd overall: Greg Vest --53
3rd overall: Russel Rorrer -- 51

Master winner: Mike Patterson -- 49

AAA class winner: John Bly -- 51
2nd: Steve Reynolds --47
3rd: Brad Ryan --47

AA winner: G. Thurman --44
2nd: Arvid England --38
3rd: J. Lamb --35

Ken, you've got that right for sure. Mark shot a 30 on Sunday and there was a guy writing the scores on a board as the score sheets were turned in. Carla told him to give her the pin as no one else was writing that 30 on the board but her.

Sunday got tricky as the afternoon wore on. Russel missed 3 pigs, Mike Patterson missed pigs. On the last bank of 5 rams for the day there were three shooters and they got a combined 3 rams. This is a tough range to score well for everyone except Woody it seems. We missed you Woody!

Sorry I missed it John. I knew better after being gone two weeks in July and three in September. For the sake of marital bliss, I chose to stay home. We took a day trip in the Model A yesturday.
