Friendship Indiana season closer

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

Friendship Indiana season closer

Post by Jachin »

The final match of the 2014 season was a good one. The weather was a bit nippy but all in all it was just a typical Indiana fall weekend.
Match results were as follows:
Saturday:
Match Winner - Woody with a score of 27
Iron Sight class winners
Master class - Jim Radcliffe with a 23
AAA class - Grant Brown with a 24
AA class - Tracy Vannatta with a 27.(won't be AA long shooting like this)
A/B class - J.C. Smith with a 17
Scope sight class winners
Master class - Bob Johnson with a 22
AAA class - Mark Finney with a 22
AA class - Fred Leeth II with a 26
A/B class - John Hayes with a 24

Sunday:
Match Winner - Mark Finney with a 31 (that's two)
Iron Sight class winners
Master class - no entries
AAA class - Grant Brown with a 25
AA class - Chris Meyers with a 23
A/B class - Richard Gardner with a 17

Scope sight class winners
Master class - Brad Parma with a 25
AAA class - Greg Slepicka with a 20
AA class - Jim Davis with a 25
A/B class John Hayes with a 24 ( no more A/B class for this one. Up he goes)

The 2014 Iron Man award and fine trophy for annual high animal count went to Bob Johnson with 357 animals recorded this year. The second place rock went to Mark Finney with 351 animals and honorable mention for hitting 345 animals went to Bob Wetzler. Obviously, this was not settled until the final relay.

Great season and great people. Come shoot with us in 2015. You will not be disappointed.

Is it March yet? I'm already suffering withdrawls. Thanks Mike for doing the job you do. If any "lurkers" out are within driving, these monthly matches are something you are missing. Put them on your calendar for next year.

Ditto Woody !!! Mike Hoke runs really efficient and FUN matches at Friendship ! I'd encourage folks to put them on your shooting calendars for 2015 . This range will teach the most jaded BPCR shooter a thing or two !!!

Shoot dates have not been finalized for the 2015 season by the NMLRA to my knowledge. The minute this is done, I will post all dates in the upcoming match page.
'Thanks for asking.

Mike I checked your range out a few weeks back. It sure looks like a fine place. Do you have to be a member of the MLRA to shoot your match?

Kurt,

Mike usually doesn't hang out on the forum, so I'll chime in.

The short answer is no.

Most of the silhouette matches at Friendship are in fact sponsered and run by the Miami Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Club. The Regional last year and again next year is sponsered by the NMLRA. Neither requires membership to shoot the matches. Camping at the range is free to participants. The Miami matches are generally two 40 shot individual matches with the club championship being an aggregate of two 60 shot matches. Target setters are provided as part of the entrance fee. We usually have between 20 and 40 shooters at the matches. Word has it that .22 BPCR matches are coming.

TNX Woody.

I guess I better get some more brass together for the .44-75 to do all that shooting.
See you next season.

Kurt,

Glad to hear that you are planning on coming. March is the next match. Saturday and Sunday with a special match on Saturday. You can shoot the regular 40 shot silhouette match or you can bring your as issued black powder cartridge military rifle and contest for the "Big Balls" trophy. Either way, you will have fun.

See you there.

Well Woody I can bring my trapdoors but they don't have that crooked Buffington on them :D

If you think you can shoot it bring it. I'll be shooting my 84 with a Buffington. There should be six or seven others shooting trapdoors on Saturday.
