The first shoot (March) of the 2016 Season is in the books. A good time was had by all in attendance despite the chilly weather. Had 23 shooters and 24 guns. May the Iron Man prevail. Thank you to the set up crew and all who pitched in to tear the range down after the match. See everyone in April.

All our fair weather shooters missed a rather challenging day at the range. Sometimes you could see the targets and other times not. It was a combination of rain, mist, smoke and or a combination of all.

Keep in mind that the Super Shoot will be held rain or shine, hopefully shine. Don’t miss this one. Our prize table is shaping up due to the efforts of Debra Lee, be sure to thank her for the work that she has done. Anyone who would like to donate to the table feel free to do so. Pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw, chips and drinks will be served for lunch. Chef Karl Seemuller will be preparing his world famous pulled pork for our enjoyment.

Thanks to all who helped set up and tear down the range. Special thanks to our line callers Len Kobus, Jay Brower and first timer Lynn Carruthers. We need more first
timers to give it a shot , its not that hard. Only takes a couple minutes to clean your rifle while targets are being set.

We will be weighing rifles and measuring cross sticks for the Super Shoot. If you come to practice on Friday try and get that out of the way then. Will make Saturday morning go much better. Same goes for the match fee, if you haven’t paid see me on Friday if you come to practice.

Another super shoot is in the books. We had a great day weather wise with the exception of a little heat later in the day. Thanks to all the shooters who donated prizes to the table. I hope everyone thanked Debra Lee for the great job she did putting the prize table together. Karl did a great job on the BBQ, hope everyone enjoyed it, To all who helped set up, tear down, and make everything run smoothly the match director thanks you all. Line callers did an
outstanding job.

All who noticed the sign that said there was no shoot in July, that does not apply to BPCR it was for one of the other venues at the club. Our shoot will be held on the 16th of July, rain or shine. Your guest match directors will be Robert Kopper and Leonard Kobus. Please give them the help and support that you have given to me.

29 shooters showed up on a beautiful mostly sunny day with light, mostly steady breezes to contest the Aug match. Once the smoke had cleared Paolo Amedeo was the irons match winner and Brian Chilson the scope match winner. Congrats to all the other class winners and our thanks to everyone who helped by calling the line, setting up and taking down the range (animals, flags, etc.), with special thanks to Bill Davis for his efforts as the match director.

Attendance was a bit low this month. Had a great day weather wise not to hot, overcast with slight mirage. I want to thank all who helped set up the range on Friday and everyone who helped tear down after the match. Special thanks to DL and Gil for calling the line. As announced at the match our prize coordinator for the Super Shoot has retired from that position. We will be needing a replacement. Job is not that hard and an intense period of training will be conducted for the person who steps up. About a half hour. It’s not that hard. See myself or DL if you are interested. Hope to have a full compliment on Shooters October 15th our last scheduled shoot of 2016.

Another great year of shooting is in the books. Conditions on Saturday whopped some of us pretty bad. Octobers long shadows and our ever present mirage did not do us well under beautiful skies and mild breezes. I want to thank everyone who helped make this year a success: Range set up crew, tear down crew, line callers, prize coordinator, cook, target setters, competitors, etc. You all have made my life easy as the match director. If anyone has any suggestions that will make our matches better let me know.
