Phoenix 1000 yd match
Day one
Jim Terry 1st 259/300
Dave Gullo 2nd
Chip Mate 3rd
It sounded like a pretty nice day wind wise, 90 degrees by the time they finished.

Re: Phoenix 1000 yd match
any credit for the wind coaches?
not to detract from the shooters, but the coaches are possibly 80% of any score.
keep safe,
bruce.

BTW, I am having another plaque for the "National Champion Spotter" (Scope/Iron) for this years National.
I too believe this is a team sport and have awarded them at my Regionals in the past. That way even MVL ( or what ever) might have a chance to take something home. .........................

Re: Phoenix 1000 yd match
wind coaches are like shooters.
there are good ones and better ones.
it is however a team effort, and only the shooters get the glory.

When my shooter misses I always get 100% of the blame.jackrabbit wrote:Do they also get blamed for 80% of the losing?

Now Glenn, you know that's not true. I've come to trust your judgment on condition calling and if I miss it's generally my fault or a condition changed just as I pulled the trigger.
