2017 Rocky Mountain .22 BPCRA Championships

What can I say. What a match!!!!! the new venue, Smithmoor BPCR Range is outstanding in every respect. Gary and Cody were excellent hosts to the 45 shooters who vied for the daily, special and regional champion titles. When it was all said and done Cody Smith is the 2017 Regional Champion, for the second year I may add. Jim Rodebaugh and Kevin Griggs shot outstanding scores winning the scope and Iron sight titles. Too many to list so here is he excel spreadsheet. Many thanks to Harold Forcum for the special Redheaded Turkey match and beautiful shooting box for the winner. Harold donated a total of three boxes and they were prized. Jim Rodebaugh's custom Damascus knife, valued at $1400, won by blind drawing went to South Dakota native Logan Eliason. Many thanks to all the sponsors who donated to the match. Each entry won a door prized valued from $30 to $150. Anyway, here is the spreadsheet. Hope to see ya next year when we return to the Smithmoor range for the 2018 .22 BPCRA Regional Championships.

Kevin Griggs is as good of a spotter as he is a shooter. Last weekend I needed a spotter on the Rams in such a strong wind that all we could shoot was the swinger and he helped me hit 9 outta 10. The one I missed was all my fault. Poor trigger pull.

Thanks for the write up Dick! I thought the match was awesome and am still flying high over my win. I really didn't think I would get it done after shooting on Saturday. Kevin cleaned all the lay downs and shot four chickens with both scope and iron! Wow!! That is some impressive shooting for sure.

I sure don't want to take any credit for the success of this match. Dick works really hard on it almost year around and I did almost nothing other than shoot during the match. Dick has truly built this match from the ground up and it has really grown into something special. Hopefully the better range to hold it on will result in continued growth and success.
