Rocky Mountain Regional Match Results

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

Here's the High Plains 1000yd Challenge Money Match Scores.
This year something interesting happened. The two top competitors finished with the same score and X count. Although there are other ways to break this tie the Match Director opted for a shoot-off. A rare but very cool thing to see in a BPTR style match. Being the type of match that it is, the officials agreed this was the only way to "settle the score". Congratulations to Chip Mate for the win and to Zack Taylor for his fine shooting as well.
In the shoot-off you were allowed 2 sighters and 3 shots for score. If memory serves, Chip shot a 10, 7 & 9. Zach shot 7, 7 and finished with an X.

The Byers range is one tough SOB to shoot on but the matches were well run and I'm glad Chip and I finally got the opportunity to shoot there.
Thanks to Eron Ahmer and Robt. Garibay for a well run match, Jimbo Terry for the Makers on Thursday night and Kenny Wasserburger and Bryan Youngberg for a fine steak dinner on Friday night.
We had a great time.

I'm sorry I had to miss it. Unfortunately I had to work. It sounds like it was, as usual, an excellent match.

Conditions were obviously a wee bit tougher than last year :-). I would have liked to watched that shootoff.

More importantly Chris, we missed you.

You definitely add an international flavor to any match.

Next year, eh ?

That is definitely the plan! This working business is useful and all, but it sure gets in the way of target shooting :-)

Hopefully I'll see you guys in Phoenix in March.

I've got a little more work to do to reduce the vertical on the Borchardt but I think I'm close. Or if all goes well, my new Shiloh will arrive in time for me to give it some good testing before the snow gets deep.

I haven't been to the range in maybe 8 weeks which is the longest in years. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get a Meacham highwall shooting. I think I just haven't put the right bullet into it yet.

It'll be good to see you guys again.

Chris.
