Great shooting at a very difficult match. Hope a play by play of the proceedings to follow as well as some load and caliber information.

Zack, I'll get the equipment list info put together soon. Loading up for another match right now.

The nice thing about the mile shoot is that you have plenty of time to get out of the gun, make a sandwich, and roll into the scope and still wait for the bullet to land.

Everyone was wiping, no one used barrel sights, some used coaching, some did not.
45-90, 45-100, and 45-110 were the only cartridges used.
MVA XLR Soule sights were common.

Bryan, It surprises me that Randy went to a .45 instead of his .50. But he still came out with a good finish.

Yes Glen, only 8 shooters. It is a very challenging match not for the faint of heart or the novice. You must be on your game to even think about trying it. However anyone who shows up will get as much help and advice as they need to give it a try. Those guys will bend over backwards to help develop anyone who wants to give it a go.

Shot in a Police Pistol Combat Match several years ago in Laredo, Texas. There were 12 competitors. Max points 1500.
A 1496 took 5th place. 1492 was low score.

George ...did you shoot a 1490 in that match ?? Most folks have no idea how hard that is.
