Friendship April 2021

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

Friendship April 2021

Post by Woody »

Another fine match at Friendship is in the books.

Friday started cold and frosty but clear. 33 shooters were on hand to shoot the .22 silhouette matches. Two classes, 26 Traditional and 7 Modern.

Conditions tricky, but 10 shooters had it figured enough to post master scores.

The husband/wife pair of Willie,(32) and Sandra Pool,(31) posted 1st and 3rd in modern with Keith Ux, (32) in 2nd.

Traditional shooters scored slightly better with Steve, "The Machine" Farringer coming 3rd with a impressive 33.

Mel Barnell also posted a 33, but won the coin toss with Steve for 2nd.

Marshall Chase was having none of it so he won with a convincing 35 with 9 chickens in the mix.

Saturday was a little milder, but threatened rain most of the day. No downpours but light rain fell most of the day. Wind was light and tricky. The scores are posted below. Two shooters posted their third master scores and moved up after the match. Additionally five shooters shot their trapdoors to contest the Military Rifle match. Congratulations to the newly minted Master and match winner Karen Chase!!!! and to Military winner Jim Ratcliffe. He had to finish with 9 Rams to win. Not commonly done with a Trapdoor.

It was a very fun weekend!
Fairly large contingents came from as far as Michigan and Georgia. Even had some Iowans and Texans, I believe!

The great kids setting targets got a work out, since we had to shoot with five relays, and Saturday they had to do it in the light cool rain.
