Got a question for the experts :
Why do you have to crimp the bullet, and don't on the sharps?

you crimp the bullet for a number of reasons ,
to keep it from moving in the case
to help build consistant pressure
to hold the bullet in the case if you fire form and do not resize
you do not HAVE to crimp on a single shot if you prefer not to as there is no mechanics to inserting a cartrige into the bore one at a time . and some prefer to shoot with no neck tention to reduce another variable.or seat the bullert into the rifling so it doesnt move then it doesnt need to be crimped... if you handle them a lot or use them in a hunting situation where they are subject to rough handling , it is a good idea to give them a crimp of some sort to keep from losing the bullets or wedgeing one in the bore and needing to unchamber the round.Dean
