My Shiloh .50 calibre '63 carbine was shooting so high at 50-100 yards that I had a traditional silver blade front sight dovetailed into the barrel.
The new sight suits the narrow notches better than the original barley corn and is 1/8" higher.
Anyone want to speculate on how much this will affect the point of impact?
I'm hoping that I get something in the order of 4" high at 50 which will enable me to take my favourite 6 o'clock hold on an 8" black bull.
I'll be finding out for sure pretty soon ....
Any guesses?

x = c x s Devided by r
x is required sight adjustment
c is point of impact correction
s is sight radius (edge of rear to edge of front measured on the side of the shooter
r is range to target. all dim must be in inches
a 1" change w/ a 20 " radius will be .0111" at 50 yrds at 100yrds .0056
