"R" prefix Serial Number

Post by ShilohSharps »

Has anyone encountered a "R" before a 5 digit serial number on the tang for a 'Farmingdale' New Model 1863 3-band military rifle? Thanks

"R"?

Nope. Just numbers on mine. And the "wolf" logo.

We need an anthology of Farmingdale markings.

If you are referring to the '63 rifle on sale on GunBroker, the seller did forward me additional photos and the serial does start with an "R" then 100 and two other numbers.
