Front sight for sore eyes

Hello everybody,

First I have a shiloh 63 carbine, early Farmingdale with soldered front sight. I'm looking to install a globe type sight so to see the targets. I have found a clamp made by Malcolm for off setting a scope. Its looks like you could just use the front part with the dovetail and clamp it on the barrel, has anybody tried this or know of any other company that sells a clamp that would work. I really don't want to machine a slot it my rifle.

My '63 carbine is also a Farmingdale. With the original barley corn it shot 12" high at 50 yds.
I had a dovetail cut for a silver blade like Shiloh puts on their '74 carbines and it now prints on point of aim.

The same sort of dovetail could accomodate a globe. I believe there are pics in Seller's book of carbines with globe sights, so you would be historically correct.

I have a '74 carbine on order in 50-70. Looking forward to it.
