A blast from Shiloh's past...

Post by Free_Stater »

I think Shiloh must have marketed these. Their logo is also on each of the 700 or so pieces of nitrated paper that came with my "new" Farmingdale 63 carbine. For what it's worth, the paper is of a cheaper, more porous composition than the current offering from Shiloh, which means it burns faster and more completely. The two cartridge boxes were empty, unfortunately, but I made up some cartridges and refilled them.

I was unclear. I meant the CW Cartridge logo, not Shiloh's.

Here's the mold for the 425-grain "Buffalo Bullet" with the sprue plate marked "Shiloh Products," along with another shot of some of the bullets and the Lee 415-grain hollow base Minie mold and bullets.
